GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

A. Entrance Scholarships

  • Valedictorians (Over-all No.1) from any government recognized high school duly certified by the principal are given full tuition scholarships for one semester.
  • Salutatorians (Over-all No.2) from any government recognized high school duly certified by the principal are given half tuition scholarships for one semester.
  • Honor graduates from recognized colleges and universities enrolling at the CEFI shall be granted tuition scholarships for one semester provided they have satisfied the requirements for admission.

    Suma Cum Laude – 100% free tuition
    Magna Cum Laude – 70% free tuition
    Cum Laude – 50% free tuition
  • The enrollee who tops the CEFI entrance examination shall enjoy a full tuition scholarship for one semester.

B. Academic Scholarships

CEFI students obtaining an academic grade-average of:

  • 1.2 or better are given 75% tuition discount for one semester and shall be called Foundation Scholars.
  • 1.21 – 1.4 are given 35% tuition discount for one semester and shall be called College Scholars

Provided the following conditions are met:

  • the students carried the regular semester load;
  • the students had no grade below 2.0 in any subject;
  • the students had no failing grades in PE, NSTP and Social Action 1.

C. Karunungan Scholarship

        Karunungan Scholarship is granted to students who are financially challenged yet academically deserving. These grants are governed by the existing conditions that may be subject to change at any time. Application for this scholarship is announced.

D. Athletic and Cultural Scholarships

        Students who qualify for membership in school’s varsity athletic teams, Calayan Dance Company (CDC) and The Calayan Minstrels (TCM) are also given special scholarships.

E. Philippine National Police (PNP) Dependents

       Tuition discounts are given to dependents of qualified and active law enforcers, including those wounded or killed in service. The grants depend upon the availability of approved slots.

F. Miss CEFI / Miss Young CEFI

       The pageant winner is given free tuition aid for one school year as part of her prize. The equivalent amount in cash is refundable to the holder of the title if she is graduating.

G. Incentives for other Stakeholders

  • “Bring A Friend” incentive is given to CEFI students who can bring any new enrollees (maximum of two) to any four-year program offered by the institution.
  • Early Bird Discount of Php 1,000 given to the first 100 enrollees from public senior high schools enrolling in college.
  • Loyalty Discount of Php 1,000 is given to CEFI SHS graduates entering first year college.
  • Anak ng Alumni Discount (limited to two children) are also given to graduates of CEFI.
  • Board Topnotchers who garnered a place in the top twenty of licensure examinations given yearly by the Professional Regulation Commission shall receive special scholarship or financial incentive. The condition shall be set by the Administration.
  • Employees of CEFI and their dependents pursuing a course in any of the programs of this institution may also be given tuition discounts on a case-to-case basis.

H. Work Opportunities

        Students who are in need of financial help may apply as student assistants. They may address their request to the Office for Student Affairs.

I. Scholarship Grants from Partner Institutions

Grantees are invited to visit the Scholarships Office for any assistance in accomplishing their documentary requirements.

  • CHED (UniFAST-TES, TDP, PHESFA, etc)
  • DOST/GSIS / SSS / DSWD / PVAO /and other government agencies / organizations
  • Local Government Units (LGUs)
  • Private agencies / organizations

NB:

  • In case a student qualifies for two or more scholarships, he/she shall avail herself/himself of only one scholarship, the one with the highest value.
  • A scholarship grant is forfeited once the grantee violates the school’s rules and regulations.
  • The scholarship is a privilege which may be curtailed based on the availability of funds and/or other prevailing conditions in the institution.

J. Bring a friend

College Student

      Through this, you can avail of discounts by recruiting a first-year college student or a transferee to any curricular year. If your recruit successfully enrolls, you will be entitled to a tuition discount of ₱1,500 to ₱2,000 depending on the academic program availed by the recruit. You can recruit a maximum of two students and avail up to ₱4,500 tuition discount. See guidelines HERE.

 Basic Education Department

       Introducing the Bring-a-Friend program for BED. Through this, you can avail of discounts by recruiting a JHS/SHS student or a transferee to any curricular year. See guidelines HERE.
