  The Research Forvm, a peer reviewed journal, is the official publication of Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. published biannually. It considers original articles written for, but not limited to, multidisciplinary researches in various settings. The Research Forvm will serve as: 1) Venue for the publication of scientific and research papers in the various multidisciplinary research areas ; 2) Source of updates on policies and standards relevant to multidisciplinary practice and education, and 3) Medium for collegial interactions among professionals to promote professional growth. The Research Forvm invites original research and scientific papers, full text or abstract, written by students, and faculty from the institution on different areas of practice, including but not limited to business, tourism, marketing, clinical, community, administration, education, and gender responsiveness.

VISION

The Office for Research and Publications has a vision of becoming a pacesetter in research and fabricating competent and quality research which can be integrated to the students’ and faculties’ academic performances that is vital in the realization of the institution’s aim of becoming a center of excellence in various disciplines.

MISSION

The Office for Research and Publications commits itself to be a venue for the institution’s venture in developing a research culture among its faculty, students and administrators and promote and sustain research programs that enhance the academic competency and research productivity of its faculties.

OBJECTIVES

In line with the institution’s thrusts towards the promotion of a strong research culture, the Office for Research and Publications encourages and supports the CEFI research community by: extending possible research opportunities, technical assistance, and funding of research activities; facilitate dissemination of research outputs to the public; addressing emerging research needs of the institution; and established linkages with other research institutions and individuals.

To effectively carry out these functions, the RPO specifically aims:

  1. To serve as catalyst of information concerning updated standards of research practice and output directed towards instigating a vibrant research culture in the entire CEFI system.
  2. To promote the institution’s mission of generating and disseminating new knowledge essential to sustain its growth.
  3. To encourage participation of all academic staff research-related activities.
  4. To initiate programs geared towards grooming qualified researchers, capable of employing innovative ideas and creativity in the conduct of researches across all disciplines.

FUNCTIONS

  1. To develop a research culture in the institution by creating awareness in the importance of research and inculcating the value of research in a learning institution;
  2. To encourage competent faculties to conduct research works and to improve their research productivity;
  3. To generate quality researches for every discipline significant to their field of teaching/expertise;To establish consortium and linkages with universities locally/internationally for research development purpose and funding;
  4. To ensure the quality of research outputs under the supervision of the center, in coordination with the Vice President for Academic Affairs;
  5. To publicize the research works by creating a referred journal

In addition to posing conductive research atmosphere ad culture, not only among faculty members, RPO should willingly provide support and assistance to students undertaking researches by addressing their concerns concerning the field of research.
