Aaaaand it’s official: As the smoke of battle cleared, the Calayan Cougars stand proud as the Overall Champion in the very first Gov. Angelina Doktora Helen DL. Tan Tournament held June 2023.

CEFI’s warriors clinched the top spot in Intercollegiate Men’s Basketball, Intercollegiate Women’s Volleyball, and the Inter-High School Boys’ Basketball.

Jeaniella Espinosa was hailed as the Finals MVP in Women’s College Volleyball, while Lenie Sapallo and Jasmine Dapol made it to the Mythical 6.

Likewise, Aj Lameseria lords it in Men’s College Basketball as the Finals MVP as well as member of the Mythical 5.

Not to be outdone, our high school basketball team has John Lloyd Verzo as the Finals MVP, while Jermaine Mendez landed a spot in the Mythical 5.

To complete the victory, the tournament recognized three of our trainers as Best Coach, namely Samuel de Luna (College Volleyball Women), Jasper Marasigan (High School Basketball), and Angelo Saavedra (College Basketball Men).
