No less than current Quezon Province governor Dr. Helen Tan graced CEFI’s 50th Foundation Grand Anniversary Ball to be formally recognized as one of the institution’s Most Outstanding Alumni.

Also among the event’s guests of honor, Gov. Tan captivated the audience with snippets of her journey to her present calling as the first woman governor of Quezon Province, and expressed her appreciation towards CEFI for being part of that journey.

“My gratitude to all of you for recognizing my humble work as a nurse, as a doctor, as a legislator, and now as the first woman and probably the first medical professional to serve as governor of Quezon Province,” Gov. Tan affirmed.

“I am what I am today partly because Calayan Educational Foundation (Inc.) has always been true to its mission of developing holistic, self-fulfilling, and productive citizens, actively engaged in national and international development, imbued with the values of honor, scholarship, and service, deeply committed to raising the quality of man’s life,” she testified.

Gov. Tan obtained her BS Nursing degree from CEFI in 1997.
