VISION

The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management envisions itself to be the top provider of highly trained professionals in hospitality industry in Quezon Province and in Region IV-A

COLLEGE SEAL DESCRIPTION/MEANING

The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHRTM) logo of the Calayan Educational Foundation Inc., is derived from the different hospitality business figure which represent the department. This depicts the innovativeness, competence and high quality in the hospitality education.

The laurel leaf symbolizes the BSHRTM excellent international training programs, cultural integration, global competitiveness and skill in the hospitality industry.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

FOR HOTEL & RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT
    1. Apply acquired knowledge and skills in various areas of specialization utilizing food preparations, and F&B processes.
    2. Exhibit professionalism in providing guest services in both local and international hospitality settings.
    3. Possess qualities of effective leaders in the hospitality industry.
    4. Recognize the importance of work ethics and personal values in rendering hospitality services.
    5. Assume responsibilities of supervisory and managerial positions in various facets of the hospitality industry.
FOR TOURISM MANAGEMENT
    1. Apply acquired knowledge and skills in various areas of specialization utilizing tourism process and services (e.g. home based, freelancer, owner of tourism enterprise)

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

    The College of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management opened and operated in School Year 2008 – 2009. The course offering started with first- and second-year levels. The concept of the College of HRTM is designed in upholding the value of individual talents, stressing excellence in hospitality innovation. And in the later year, on 2018, after the implementation and completion of the of the first Senior High School batch the CHRTM department is looking forward to be called as College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM)

RATIONALE

Philippines is a favorite country oftentimes visited by tourists; it was being well noted not only for its fascinating tourists’ spots but also for Filipino Hospitality. No wonder why deluxe hotels are visible not only within the prime city proper but also along beaches that surround the Philippines. Therefore, to be assured of the delivery of quality management and service expertise, the BSHRTM course is necessary. It is designed to promote quality training in food and beverage, hospitality skills and tourism management. Aside from this purpose, the need in other countries for workers who specialize in hospitality industry and management skills is a vital reason for the offering of the course.
