CEFI Official Mascot
Chase the Cougar is CEFI’s official mascot, debuting in June of 2024.
Unlike many mascots of the time, Chase can don a variety of attires. This not only makes Chase appropriately costumed for many events, but also allows Chase to embody the different disciplines upon which CEFI thrives. The jersey is emblazoned with the name Chase as well as the number 73, which is a hint of the year of the institution’s founding.
The name Chase could not have been more proper, as it is a nod to CEFI’s endless pursuit of greatness and innovation. This unending quest has been – and always shall be – done with the same aggressiveness, tenacity, and power that embody our spirit animal: the cougar.
Moreover, in this relentless pursuit of excellence in all disciplines, be it in academics, sports, culture and arts, we manifest every intention to be at the forefront of all these. In doing so, just as one would “chase the cougar,” we shall become the leader and trendsetter to be followed and chased by the rest.

Aside from being an epitome of our ambition and leadership, Chase’s amiable, delightful and endearing charisma is a reflection of the CEFI community, and how we treasure feelings, experiences, memories, and people. This winning personality makes every interaction with Chase memorable and heartwarming. Chase is also a reminder that while our good-naturedness may lull others into underestimating us, in the heart of every Cefizen rests the totem of the cougar, and that when it comes to the pursuit of greatness, we have fangs and claws to bare.
