College of Nursing

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum is a competency based curriculum whereby the knowledge, skills and attitude of the learners are developed and enriched so they can provide quality health services locally and internationally. The BSN program provides an intensive nursing practicum that will develop clinical skills to ensure basic core competencies required of a beginning nurse practitioner. The General Education component is consistently refined and updated with concepts and approaches that will make the students responsive to the changing times.

To make the curriculum relevant, the department integrated two short term courses, Caregiving and Medical Transcription in the Level II and Level III programs, respectively. After the second year, the student earns a certificate in Caregiving, and after the third year, he / she also earn a certificate in Medical Transcription. Both will be awarded NC II Certificate after passing the examination.
